Valley Head Resident Enters Plea to Embezzlement Charge
ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA — A 40 year old Valley Head, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on October 11, 2011, in United States District Court in Elkins before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: ANGELA A. GOULD entered a plea of guilty to one count of embezzlement in Randolph County. GOULD embezzled United States currency in an amount exceeding $1,000 during each of the years 2009 and 2010 and made approximately $59,141 in unauthorized charges to the victim’s two credit cards to cover up the embezzlement. GOULD, who is free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum exposure of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen D. Warner and was investigated by the Elkins Detachment of the West Virginia State Police.
