Two New York Residents Enter Guilty Pleas in Federal Court
WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA — Two New York residents entered pleas of guilty on October 17, 2011, in United States District Court in Wheeling before Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: TAOWEI YU, age 26, of Flushing, New York, and SIMON LEE, age 36, of New York, New York, each entered a plea of guilty to one count charging them with conspiring to use counterfeit credit cards from July 2009 to June 2011 in Wheeling. YU and LEE, who are free on bond pending sentencing, face a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Robert H. McWilliams, Jr. and was investigated by the United States Secret Service and the West Virginia State Police.
