Moundsville Resident Sentenced on Oxycodone Charge

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA - A 47 year old Moundsville, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on September 13, 2011, in United States District Court in Wheeling by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: HARRY TUCKER, JR. was sentenced to 27 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. TUCKER entered a plea of guilty on June 20, 2011, to one count of distribution of oxycodone on January 24, 2011, in Moundsville. TUCKER was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution.

TUCKER becomes the second person to be sentenced as part of the ongoing investigation into the illegal distribution of prescription pills by an organization led by David Kidd, II and charges are pending against an additional twenty individuals. As part of his plea, TUCKER admitted to distributing between 200 and 250 oxycodone pills, between 2010 and the Spring of 2011.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John C. Parr and was investigated by the Ohio Valley Drug & Violent Crime Task Force. The Task Force consists of officers from the Wheeling Police Department, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
