Clarksburg Resident Arrested on Drug Charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A 38-year old Clarksburg, West Virginia, resident was arrested today by agents of the Harrison Lewis County Drug & Violent Crime Task Force pursuant to an Indictment returned by a Federal Grand Jury on July 10, 2012.
According to United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, KRISTIN DAVIS has been charged with the Distribution of Crack Cocaine within 1,000 Feet of St. Mary’s Grade School on July 1, 2011, in Clarksburg.
DAVIS appeared in court today for an initial appearance and was released with conditions.
If convicted, DAVIS faces up to 40 years imprisonment and a $2,000,000 fine.
The case will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn A. Morgan.
The charge contained in the indictment is merely an accusation and is not evidence of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
