Pennsylvania Resident Enters Plea to Possession of
Crack Cocaine within 1,000 Feet of a Protected Location
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 28 year old McKeesport, Pennsylvania, resident entered a plea of guilty on August 8, 2012, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: JO-EL TORRES entered a plea of guilty to the “Possession with Intent to Distribute in Excess of 28 Grams of Crack Cocaine within 1,000 Feet of the Harrison Street Playground” on June 2, 2011, in Clarksburg.
TORRES, who is free on bond pending sentencing, faces up to 80 years imprisonment and a $4,000,000 fine.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley and prosecuted by the Harrison County Drug & Violent Crime Task Force, consisting of officers from the Clarksburg Police Department and the Bridgeport Police Department.
