Morgantown Resident Sentenced on
Heroin Conspiracy Charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 39 year old Morgantown, West Virginia, was sentenced on February 1, 2012, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: RONNIE LONG was sentenced to 51 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. LONG entered a plea of guilty on November 7, 2011, to one count of an Indictment charging him conspiracy to distribute heroin from June of 2009 to June of 2010 in Morgantown. LONG was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew R. Cogar and was investigated by the West Virginia State Police-Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
