New York Resident Sentenced in Federal Court

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA — A New York resident was sentenced on January 23, 2012, in United States District Court in Wheeling before Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: SIMON LEE, age 37, of Flushing, New York, was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. LEE entered a plea of guilty on October 17, 2011, to one count charging him with conspiring to use counterfeit credit cards from July 2009 to June 2011 in Wheeling. LEE was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Robert H. McWilliams, Jr. and was investigated by the United States Secret Service and the West Virginia State Police.
