Kearneysville Resident Enters Plea to
Possession and Transfer of Stolen Firearms
MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A 29 year old Kearneysville, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty in United States District Court in Martinsburg on October 24,
2012, before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: DANIEL LEE MASON entered a plea of guilty to Possession and Transfer of Stolen Firearms on May 26,
2011, when MASON pawned two firearms and sold a firearm, all of which had been stolen. MASON, who is in custody pending sentencing, faces up to 10 years imprisonment and a
$250,000 fine.
This was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Robert H. McWilliams and investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.
