Clarksburg Man Sentenced on Drug Charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 37 year old Clarksburg, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on March 27, 2007, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Chief Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that THEODORE GLADYSZ a/k/a “TEDDY” was sentenced to 80 months imprisonment to be followed by six years of supervised release pursuant to an earlier entered plea of guilty. GLADYSZ entered a plea of guilty on December 5, 2006, to one count of an Indictment charging him with the distribution of .89 grams of “crack” cocaine within 1,000 feet of Monticello Avenue Playground in Clarksburg on February 23, 2006. GLADYSZ was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.
The case was investigated by the Harrison/Lewis County Drug & Violent Crime Task Force, consisting of officers from the Clarksburg Police Department, the Harrison County Sheriff's Department, the Bridgeport Police Department, and the Lewis County Sheriff's Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn Angus Morgan.
