Moundsville Resident Sentenced on Drug Charge
WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA — A 26 year old Moundsville, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on November 13, 2007, in United States District Court in Wheeling by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.
United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that AMANDA J. HALL was sentenced to 37 months imprisonment to be followed by six years supervised release, pursuant to an earlier entered plea of guilty. HALL entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging her with aiding and abetting the distribution of cocaine base within 1,000 feet of Boggs Run Playground in Benwood.
HALL is in federal custody.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John C. Parr. The case was investigated by the Ohio Valley Drug & Violent Crime Task Force, consisting of officers from the Wheeling Police Department, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
