Clarksburg Resident Entered Guilty Plea to Drug Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 47 year old Clarksburg, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on October 22, 2007, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.

United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that NORVAL EUGENE WALTERS entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with the distribution of “crack” cocaine on December 14, 2006, in Clarksburg.

WALTERS, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum exposure of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $1,000,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley. The case was investigated by the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
