MICHIGAN MAN SENTENCED TO SEVEN YEARS IN PRISON

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – A Michigan man was sentenced today by United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers to 84 months in prison for stealing a firearm. Bobby Joe Thomason, 28, previously pleaded guilty in January 2010, admitting he stole a pistol from a residence in Fort Gay, Wayne County, West Virginia in August 2008. The investigation was jointly conducted by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department and the River City Gun Crimes Task Force. Assistant United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston handled the prosecution.
