OHIO WOMAN PLEADS GUILTY TO DRUG CHARGE

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Courtney Marie White, 19, of Columbus, Ohio, pleaded guilty yesterday to possession with intent to distribute five grams or more of cocaine base. In June 2009, agents with the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force conducted two controlled buys of crack cocaine from White. Subsequently, on June 26, 2009, task force agents executed a search warrant at the Parkersburg, West Virginia residence from which White was selling the drugs. During the search, agents seized more than 70 grams of cocaine base, two sets of digital scales, and other items used in drug distribution. White is scheduled to be sentenced on July 22, 2010, before United States District Judge Thomas E. Johnston. She faces a mandatory minimum prison term of five years and up to 40 years. The Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force conducted the investigation.
