CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Dennis Marcum, Jr., 42, of Kanawha County, West Virginia was sentenced yesterday, by United States District Judge Thomas E. Johnston to two and a half years in prison for his role in a conspiracy to transport and receive in interstate commerce stolen goods and vehicles, and to altering vehicle identification numbers from at least 2007 to August 2008. Marcum pleaded guilty to Federal charges on October 1, 2009, admitting his role in the conspiracy which involved goods and vehicles having a value in excess of $250,000. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the West Virginia State Police conducted the investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Susan M. Robinson handled the prosecution.
