FEDERAL INMATE SENTENCED FOR POSSESSING MARIJUANA

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BECKLEY, W.Va. – Terrence White, 34, of Chase City, Virginia, was sentenced today by United States District Judge Irene C. Berger to 10 months in prison for possessing marijuana while confined at the Federal Correctional Institution in Beckley, West Virginia. White previously pleaded guilty in January, admitting he possessed approximately two grams of marijuana in the waiting area of the prison on July 20, 2009. White is currently serving a 210-month prison sentence for distribution of cocaine base. The Federal Bureau of Prisons conducted the investigation. Assistant United States Attorney John L. File handled the prosecution. The Court ordered the sentence imposed today to run consecutive to the 210-month term of imprisonment.
