HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Amy Christian, 29, of Huntington, was sentenced today to 15 months in prison by United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers for distribution of crack cocaine.  Christian previously pleaded guilty in August.  The defendant admitted that on March 30, 2009, she sold approximately 5.18 grams of crack cocaine to a confidential informant working with the Huntington Violent Crimes and Drug Task Force (HVCDTF).  The illicit drug transaction occurred near the corner of 16th Street and Sixth Avenue in Huntington.

The Huntington Violent Crimes and Drug Task Force conducted the investigation.  Assistant United States Attorney Joshua Hanks handled the prosecution.
