Wyoming Man Sentenced for Felony Child Abuse

U.S. Attorney for the District of Wyoming,United States Attorney Christopher A. Crofts announced today that Chandler “Chance” Shakespeare of Fort Washakie, Wyoming, on the Wind River Reservation, appeared in federal court after having pled guilty to one count of felony child abuse in connection with events occurring in November of 2008. Shakespeare was sentenced to 125 days imprisonment, followed by 3 years of supervised released including a 6 month term at the Residential Re-Entry Center, where he will receive substance abuse counseling, anger management counseling and parenting classes. Shakespeare was ordered to pay $416.98 in restitution for the victim’s follow-up medical care.
