Charles Arthur Patterson, 73, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on July 26, 2011, on one count of distribution of fentanyl resulting in death and aiding and abetting and one count of distribution of morphine resulting in death. Patterson was sentenced to 120 months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $200.00 special assessment and $3,643.40 in restitution. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.

Zerk M. Bears, aka “Booie” Bears, 34, of Parker, Colorado, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on July 25, 2011, for false impersonation of an officer or employee of the United States. Bears received twelve months and one day of imprisonment, to be followed by one year of supervised release. This case was investigated by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Jerry Tillman, 40, of Ft. Washakie, Wyoming, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge William F. Downes on July 21, 2011, for assault resulting in serious bodily injury. Tillman received 37 months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $200.00 special assessment and $111,789.82 in restitution.

Carlos Ramos-Nogal, 26, of Mexico, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on July 21, 2011, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine. Ramos-Nogal was sentenced to 70 months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment and a $250.00 fine. This case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

James S. Robinson, 60, of West Linn, Oregon, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on July 12, 2011, for trafficking in illegal wildlife. Robinson was ordered to pay a $20,000.00 fine, restitution in the amount of $15,000.00 and three years of supervised release. This case was investigated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
