Northern Arapaho Woman Sentenced for Two Separate Instances of Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury. U.S. Attorney Christopher A. Crofts announced that on August 12, 2011, 22-year-old Adelia Rochelle Jenkins of the Wind River Indian Reservation appeared in Federal District Court for sentencing on two counts of assault resulting in serious bodily injury in connection with two separate stabbing incidents involving different victims both of which occurred on the Wind River Indian Reservation. Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal sentenced Jenkins to 37 months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release. Jenkins was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $2,601.51.

Eastern Shoshone Man Sentenced for Involuntary Manslaughter. U.S. Attorney Christopher A. Crofts announced that on August 11, 2011, Fabian Tarness, a twenty-one year old Eastern Shoshone man was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Clarence A. Brimmer to two years of probation with standard and special conditions. Mr. Tarness, who had no previous criminal history, pleaded guilty to being under the influence of alcohol during an automobile accident, which resulted in the death of his own brother.
