Northern Arapaho Man Sentenced for Embezzlement or Converting Monies from an Organization Receiving Federal Funds and Aiding and Abetting

CHEYENNE, WY - United States Attorney Christopher A. Crofts announced that on November 29, 2011, George Moss, a 65-year-old, former Northern Arapaho Department of Social Services Executive Director, from the Wind River Indian Reservation, appeared in Federal District Court for sentencing before Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson. Moss pleaded guilty to one count of embezzling or converting monies from an organization receiving federal funds and aiding and abetting. Moss received three years probation with the first six months to be served under house arrest and was ordered to pay a $2,500.00 fine. Based upon the request from the Northern Arapaho Business Council, the Court did not order restitution. This case was investigated by the Department of the Interior.
