Jose Alvarez, 31, of Aurora, Colorado, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl on November 2, 2012, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamine. Alvarez was arrested in Fort Collins, Colorado. He received 360 months of imprisonment, to be followed by ten years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment. This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.
Richard E. Baker, 55, of Mills, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal on November 7, 2012, for failure to disclose an event relating to social security payments. Baker self-surrendered in Cheyenne. He received two years supervised probation and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment and restitution in the amount of $84,605.00. This case was investigated by the U.S. Social Security Administration.
