The HIDTA counties are: Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tulare. Shasta County is a new 2008 HIDTA county.

Fresno, Oakland, Sacramento, San Francisco, and San Jose are major cities with over 250,000 people. 

Bakersfield, Berkeley, Concord, Daly City, Fremont, Hayward, Lancaster, Modesto, Palmdale, Salinas, Santa Clara, Santa Rosa, Stockton, Sunnyvale, and Vallejo, California and Reno, Nevada are major cities with 100,000-249,999 people.

Antioch, Arden-Arcade, Citrus Heights, Fairfield, Redwood City, Redding, Richmond, Roseville, San Leandro, San Mateo, Santa Maria, Vacaville, and Visalia are cities with 75,000-99,999 people.

The interstates shown within this region are I-5, I-15, I-80, and I-505.

The state highway shown is route 99.

The Central Valley California HIDTA counties are: Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tulare. Shasta County is a new 2008 HIDTA county.

Fresno, Oakland, Sacramento, San Francisco, and San Jose are major cities with over 250,000 people.

53,507 cannabis plants were eradicated in the Inyo National Forest, east of Madera, Fresno, and Tulare Counties. 94,621 plants were eradicated in the Los Padres National Forest, southwest of Kern County. 264,748 plants were eradicated in the Sequoia National Forest in Tulare and Kern Counties. 146,484 plants were eradicated in the Sierra National Forest, in Madera and Fresno Counties.

In Fresno County cannabis plants were eradicated at sites ranging from 1-4,999 plants to 10,000-19,999 plants, in Kern County at sites ranging from 1-4,999 plants to 10,000-19,999 plants, in Madera County at sites ranging from 1-4,999 plants to 5,000-9,999 plants, in San Joaquin County at sites ranging from 1-4,999 plants, in Stanislaus County at sites ranging from 1-4,999 plants, and in Tulare County at sites ranging from 1-4,999 to over 20,000 plants.

In 2003, there were 13,451 drug treatment admissions for methamphetamine, 7,718 for heroin, 4,866 for marijuana, and 2,960 for cocaine.

In 2004, there were 14,626 drug treatment admissions for methamphetamine, 7,442 for heroin, 5,354 for marijuana, and 2,972 for cocaine.

In 2005, there were 14,823 drug treatment admissions for methamphetamine, 5,613 for heroin, 5,702 for marijuana, and 2,480 for cocaine.

In 2006, there were 14,929 drug treatment admissions for methamphetamine, 6,329 for heroin, 5,471 for marijuana, and 2,707 for cocaine.

In 2007, there were 14,867 drug treatment admissions for methamphetamine, 6,203 for heroin, 5,964 for marijuana, and 2,692 for cocaine.
