Augusta, Maine; Concord and Manchester, New Hampshire; Hartford and Montpelier, Vermont; Lawrence and Lowell, Massachusetts; Hartford, Waterbury, New Haven, Bridgeport, and Stamford, Connecticut; and Syracuse, New York, are major cities with populations less than 150,000.
