Cincinnati (Ohio); Louisville and Lexington (Kentucky); Nashville (Tennessee); and Charlotte (North Carolina) are major cities with a population over 250,000.

Knoxville and Chattanooga (Tennessee) are major cities with populations between 100,000 and 249,999.

London (Kentucky); and Huntington and Charleston (West Virginia) are major cities with populations less than 100,000.

Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville, and Douglas (Charlotte, North Carolina) are international airports.

The interstates are I-24, I-26, I-40, I-64, I-65, I-75, I-77, I-79, I-81, and I-85.

Routes 23 and 127 are U.S. highways.

Route 111 is a state highway in Tennessee.

The Ohio River borders Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and West Virginia.

The Appalachia HIDTA is composed of the following 67 counties: (Kentucky) Adair, Bell, Breathitt, Clay, Clinton, Cumberland, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Jefferson, Knott, Knox, Laurel, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Marion, McCreary, Owsley, Perry, Pike, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Taylor, Warren, Wayne, and Whitley; (Tennessee) Bledsoe, Campbell, Claiborne, Clay, Cocke, Cumberland, Fentress, Franklin, Grainger, Greene, Grundy, Hamblen, Hamilton, Hawkins, Jackson, Jefferson, Knox, Macon, Marion, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Rhea, Roane, Scott, Sequatchie, Sevier, Unicoi, Washington, and White; (West Virginia) Boone, Cabell, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, McDowell, Mingo, and Wayne.
