FOREIGN AGENT REPORT

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Department of Justice announced today the release of the Report to the Congress on the Administration of the Foreign Agents Registration Act of 1938, as amended, for the calendar year 1995.

The two volume report, which was sent to the Congress today, also is available on the Department of Justice Website at http:/www.usdoj.gov/criminal/fara/, and in CD-ROM format.

The text of the Report lists all those registered as "agents of a foreign principal" and the "foreign principal)" they represented at any time during the calendar year 1995. The information is organized according to the geographical location of the foreign principals, and includes a brief account of the agents' activities on behalf of the its principal(s), a figure representing the financial receipts of each registered agent for the particular foreign principal represented, and a description of any "political propaganda" disseminated in the United States by the registered agent.
