Attorney General Janet Reno and her Counterparts from The Eight to Announce Results of First-Ever Meeting on Transnational Crime at Wednesday 2:30 Press Conference



WASHINGTON, DC -- Attorney General Janet Reno and her counterparts from The Eight -- a group of the world's major industrialized democracies -- will meet tomorrow to discuss issues of transnational high-tech crime. The meeting of the Justice and Interior Ministers from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Italy, Canada, France and Russia will focus on ways in which the countries can work together to locate criminals who use new technologies and ensure that there are no safe havens for cyber-criminals.



Following their morning meetings, the Ministers will hold a press conference to announce the results of their discussions and a series of commitments to better combat cyber-crime.
