     WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The following event has been POSTPONED: 


     Joel I. Klein, Assistant Attorney General in charge of the
Department's Antitrust Division, was scheduled to testify today
before the Senate Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Antitrust
Business Rights and Competition at 2 p.m. in the Dirksen Senate
Office Building, room 226.  We have been informed by the
Committee that the hearing has been postponed.  Future time and
date to be determined.
