AG to Attend Thursday's White House Conference on School Safety

WASHINGTON, DC -- Attorney General Janet Reno will conduct the Justice Department's weekly news press availability on Friday, October 16, 1998 at 9:30 a.m. in room 5111--not Thursday.

On Thursday, the Attorney General will participate in the White House Conference on School Safety. The conference will provide parents, students, teachers, law enforcement and other experts an opportunity to learn about effective efforts to reduce violence in schools and in communities.

The Friday availability is open to federally credentialed reporters only. T.V. coverage will consist of a network pool arrangement. A live feed is available through a mult box in the Andretta Room, located on the first floor of the Main Justice Building. NOTE: The network pool camera crew will not be allowed to enter the building before 8:00 a.m. on Friday
