JURY FINDS FORMER TOP ADM EXECUTIVES GUILTY OF PRICE FIXING

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Joel I. Klein, Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Department's Antitrust Division issued the following statement today regarding the convictions of former top ADM executives--Michael D. Andreas, Terrance S. Wilson and Mark E. Whitacre:

"The jury's verdict convicting these executives of fixing prices sends precisely the right message-not only to those individuals who were responsible for this awful crime, but also to anyone else who might be thinking about participating in antitrust conspiracies that rob Americans of their hard-earned dollars."
