ON TODAY'S DECISION IN THE SINGLETON CASE

"We are pleased with today's decision by the Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. The decision means prosecutors will be able to continue using the tools they have always used to put criminals behind bars. Offering leniency in exchange for truthful testimony is a longstanding, important aspect of the legal system. The Court of Appeals today reaffirmed the lawfulness of that practice."
