"STRENGTHENING POLICE-COMMUNITY RELATIONS" CONFERENCE
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Justice Department will host a conference tomorrow to strengthen the continuing dialogue on the issues of police integrity and trust building efforts between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve. Law enforcement officials, community advocates, civil rights leaders and academicians will participate in efforts to address key areas of concern, such as: Hiring and Recruiting, Use of Force, Racial Profiling, Police Management Practices, and Community Relations.
President Clinton, Attorney General Janet Reno, Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder and Acting Assistant Attorney General Bill Lann Lee will be among the participants.
