IN COMMEMORATION OF WORLD AIDS DAY
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Attorney General Janet Reno will address the participants of the World AIDS Day Event to be held on Wednesday, December 1, 1999 at 4:00 p.m.
World AIDS Day is observed every year on December 1 to encourage public support of programs and prevention efforts, and to provide education and awareness of issues surrounding HIV/AIDS. This year, the Department of Justice, the Corporation for National Service, the National AIDS Fund, and local services providers are working together to highlight the impact that HIV/AIDS is having on women.
