ATTORNEY GENERAL ASHCROFT TO

WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Attorney General John Ashcroft will visit Chicago on Friday, April 6, 2001, to meet with national law enforcement officials. The following is a schedule of events open to the press.

In addition, the Attorney General will also hold private meetings with Chicago Mayor Richard Daley and Illinois Attorney General Jim Ryan. He will also visit the Dirksen Federal Building to meet with Department of Justice employees and attend the investiture of INS Judge Samuel Der-Yeghiayan. The meetings and investiture are closed to the press.
