ATTORNEY GENERAL ASHCROFT TO VISIT OKLAHOMA CITY

WASHINGTON, D.C.Attorney General John Ashcroft will visit Oklahoma City on Tuesday, April 10, 2001, to meet with families of victims and survivors of the Oklahoma City bombing.

On Tuesday morning, the Attorney General will tour the Oklahoma National Memorial. At the conclusion of the tour there will be a brief photo opportunity in the Memorial Center. Following the tour the Attorney General will hold a media availability outside the Memorial.

Ashcroft will also visit the US Attorney's Office in Oklahoma City to meet with Department of Justice employees. The meeting with survivors and victims' families and the meeting with Department employees are closed to the press.
