ATTORNEY GENERAL ASHCROFT TO HOLD NEWS CONFERENCE ANNOUNCING NEW

DAYTON, OH Following a major domestic preparedness exercise, Attorney General John Ashcroft will hold a news conference announcing a Justice Department grant to the state of Ohio to assess the state's first responder needs and capabilities and to develop a comprehensive domestic preparedness strategy, TOMORROW, Friday, August 17, at 1:00pm (ET), at the University of Dayton.

The domestic preparedness exercise will begin at 9:00am. The Attorney General will arrive to observe the exercise at 11:00am. Media planning to cover the domestic preparedness exercise should arrive for setup no later than 8:00am. Media planning to cover the press conference should arrive no later than 12:30pm. Media should setup at the corner of Lot A and Gate B. All media trucks may park on the street (along the curb, using only one lane) behind the designated area, cars must park in Lot D.
