ATTORNEY GENERAL ASHCROFT TO VISIT NEW YORK

WASHINGTON, D.C. Attorney General John Ashcroft and Viet Dinh, Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legal Policy, will join President Bush in New York at an Ellis Island Naturalization Ceremony TOMORROW, Tuesday, July 10. Ashcroft will provide brief remarks and Dinh will lead the Pledge of Allegiance at the event.

Following the ceremony, Ashcroft will take part in a Congressional Gold Medal Ceremony in honor of the late Cardinal John O'Connor. President Bush, several other officeholders and members of the clergy will also be present at the ceremony.
