WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Attorney General John Ashcroft will attend the Second Global Forum on Fighting Corruption Wednesday, May 30, through Friday, June 1, in The Hague, Netherlands, where he will meet with officials from other nations to discuss shared law enforcement priorities. His schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, May 30

Attorney General Ashcroft arrives in the Netherlands and proceeds to a Ministerial Dinner, where he will meet with 120 of his law enforcement counterparts from other nations. The dinner is closed to the press.

Thursday, May 31

Attorney General Ashcroft will address the Plenary Session of the Conference. Following his remarks, he will hold a bilateral meeting with members of the Swedish delegation and a bilateral meeting with members of the Korean delegation. He will also meet with Cynthia Schneider, U.S. Ambassador to the Netherlands, and tour the U.S. Embassy.

The meetings are closed to the press. Remarks to the Plenary Session are open to the press.
