       RENO AND SCHUMER TO HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE ON PRISONS

     WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Attorney General Janet Reno and
Congressman Charles Schumer will hold a press conference on
Thursday, February 9 to discuss problems with the Republican plan
for prison funding.  A vote on this provision of H.R. 3 is
expectly soon.

     The press conference will be on:

                       Thursday, February 9
                             11 a.m.
                       HC6 (in the Capitol)
