     WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Antitrust Division filed its brief
today in U.S. District Court in New York City in opposition to
Microsoft's petition to set aside civil investigative demand
13187.
     Copies of the 24 page memorandum plus attachments may be
picked up until 6 p.m. at the Main Justice messenger center at
the Department's center entrance on Constitution Avenue between
Ninth and Tenth streets.  In order to obtain the document,
couriers must request the document by name.  After 6 p.m., copies
may be obtained from the security station at the Tenth Street
motor gate.
