DOJ OFFICIALS TO BRIEF COUNTIES ON CRIME ACT IMPLEMENTATION
VIA TELECONFERENCE ON FRIDAY
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Attorney General Janet Reno, Associate
Attorney General John Schmidt and several other Department
officials will participate in a satellite teleconference on the
implementation of the new Crime Act on Friday, October 28, from
1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the National Association of
Counties and will be downlinked to more than 17 states where
county officials will be able to participate in the discussion.
Other Department officials participating include Assistant
Attorney General Laurie Robinson, Deputy Assistant Attorney
General Kent Markus, Deputy Assistant Attorney General Noel
Brennan, Deputy Assistant Attorney General Reggie Robinson and
Special Assistant to Assistant Attorney General Marlene Beckman.
