          JUSTICE DEPARTMENT TO HOLD PRESS AVAILABILITY
      REGARDING LIMITED MODIFICATION TO AT&T CONSENT DECREE


     WASHINGTON, DC -- David Turetsky, Deputy Assistant Attorney
General for Regulatory Matters in the Antitrust Division, will
hold a press briefing today regarding a limited modification to
the 1982 AT&T consent decree, at the Department of Justice, 10th
& Constitution Ave, N.W., in Conference Room A at 2:30pm.
     
     Reporters who wish to attend the briefing should enter the
Department at the center entrance on Constitution Avenue. 
  Set-up may begin at 2:00.

     A press release and the papers detailing the proposed
modification will be available at 12:00pm today, through the
Office of Public Affairs.
