The working group developed a plan to move forward with USDA. 3) On 6/4/09, the Senior Advisor for Tribal Affairs and staff from BJA and BJS participated in a White House Intergovernmental Affairs conference call with national tribal leaders to discuss federal agency ARRA tribal activities. 4) This week, the OJP Deputy Assistant Attorney General, the Director of OAAM and the Director of JMD Finance participated in an OMB working group that is developing policy for recipient reporting. 5) On 6/2/09, the Acting Director of BJA and the OJP Tribal Liaison attended a meeting requested by the OMB Examiner for DOJ. Others attendees included staff from the Department of Interior (DOI) and DOI-Bureau of Indian Affairs. They discussed issues surrounding ARRA tribal corrections coordination for planning, construction, programming and operation needs. OJP 15_0402: 1) Peer review has concluded and OJP anticipates making award decisions next week for two solicitations: Assistance for Law Enforcement along the Southern Border and in High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) ($39.7 million) and National Field-Generated Training, Technical Assistance and Demonstration Program ($ 5 million).

Office of Violence Against Women (OVW) 15_0411: 1) OVW will announce 27 RA State Coalitions awards on Monday, June 8. 2) OVW provided 24 hour OMB notification for one STOP Formula Grant award. Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) 15_0412: 1) COPS staff met with the Associate Attorney General and the Deputy Attorney General to discuss the status of awarding CHRP funding and the funding methodology. The Deputy Attorney General approved the COPS Office’s funding methodology. 2) In-depth application and budget review began for those agencies that are likely to be funded.
