1	Office of Justice Programs (OJP) 15_0402: * OJP continued to contact recipients to update reports and correct errors as part of the Continuous Quality Assurance review period; this includes addressing recipient reporting linking issues. * OJP continued to contact non-reporters to identify reasons why they did not report and provide technical assistance and/or impose sanctions, as necessary. * OJP continued to work with recipients to close out awards that were marked as final in last quarter’s Section 1512 reports. * The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) awarded one Recovery Act grant to a local jurisdiction under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Local Program and seven grants to State and local jurisdictions under the Rural Law Enforcement to Combat Crime and Drugs Along the Northern and Southern U.S. Borders Grant Assistance Program. * The National Institute of Justice awarded a grant to Rutgers University to conduct an evaluation study of the New Jersey Specialty Mental Health Probation program, which was funded under the BJA Recovery Act Edward Byrne Memorial Competitive Grant Program.
