COLUMBUS
- A federal grand jury has indicted Ronald Chevine Fleming,
age 40, of Galloway, Ohio, charging him with failing
to file federal income tax returns for three years.
Gregory G. Lockhart, United States Attorney for the
Southern District of Ohio, and Cromwell A. Handy, Special
Agent in Charge, Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation,
announced the indictment returned yesterday.
According to the indictment, Fleming willfully failed
to file federal income tax return for 1998 on a gross
income of $142,112. Count two charges that Fleming had
gross income of $125,663 in 1998 and $95,623 in gross
income in 1999.
Each count of willful failure to file an income tax
return, supply information or pay tax carries a maximum
penalty of one year imprisonment, a fine of up to $100,000
and restitution to the IRS.
