WEEK IN REVIEW – FORT WAYNE
Fort Wayne, Indiana- The United States Attorney’s
Office announced the following activity:
PLEAS:
Ø Francisco Garcia-Hernandez, 34, of Fort Wayne, Indiana,
pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to
the felony offense of distribution and possession with the intent to distribute
cocaine. These charges were filed as the
result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Safe Streets
Task Force, the Indiana State Police, the Fort Wayne Police Department and the
Allen County Police Department. This
case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Geller.
Ø Anna Deck, 30, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, pled guilty
before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to the felony
offense of possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine. These charges were filed as the result of an
investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the United States Postal
Inspection Service and the Allen County Police Department. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant
United States Attorney Lesley Miller Lowery.
Ø Florencio DeLuna, 30, of Fort
Wayne, Indiana, a defendant in the case US
v Casteneda et al., pled guilty before Magistrate
Judge Roger Cosbey to the felony offense of
conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute cocaine. These charges were filed as the result of an
investigation by Federal Bureau of Investigation Safe Streets Task Force, the
Indiana State Police, the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Police
Department, the Allen County Drug Task Force and the New Haven Police
Department. This case is being
prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Anthony Geller and Lesley
Miller Lowery.
Ø Jose Palma Martinez, 22, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, a
defendant in the case US v Borja et al., pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger
Cosbey to the felony offense of conspiracy to commit
fraud with identification documents.
These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the
Indiana State Police assisted by ICE - Homeland Security Investigations, the
Social Security Administration, United States Postal Inspection Service, the
Allen County Sheriff’s Department and the Shipshewanna
Police Department. This case is being
prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lovita Morris King.
If convicted in court, any
specific sentence to be imposed will be determined by the judge after a
consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing
Guidelines.
DISPOSITIONS:
Ø Justin Dominguez, 29, of Fort Wayne,
Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Theresa Springmann to
8 months imprisonment, time served, and 1 years of supervised release after
pleading guilty to the felony offense of use of a communication facility to
facilitate the commission of distributing cocaine. This case was the result of
an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Indiana State Police, the Fort Wayne Police
Department and the Allen County Police Department and the New Haven Police
Department.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Lesley
Miller Lowery and Anthony Geller.
