KEVIN J. PENNISON, age 55, a resident of Houma, Louisiana, pled guilty in federal court today before U. S. District Judge Helen G. Berrigan to three counts of distributing methamphetamine, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.

According to the factual basis, PENNISON admitted that on three separate occasions, he distributed quantities of methamphetamine to a confidential source. The defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of eighty (80) years imprisonment and millions in fines. Sentencing has been scheduled for January 19, 2010.

This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration along with agents from the Terrebonne Narcotics Task Force. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kevin G. Boitmann.
