BALTIMORE MAN SENTENCED FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

BALTIMORE, Maryland - Brian C. Trimble, age 28, of Baltimore was sentenced today to 46 months in prison, followed by supervised release for the rest of his life for possession of child pornography, announced United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein. In addition, U.S. District Judge Andre M. Davis also ordered that Trimble register as a sex offender.

According to the statement of facts provided to the court on March 6, 2006, Trimble sent an e-mail in February 2004 to an undercover U.S. Postal Inspector expressing his interest in males and females ages 12 to16. The undercover Inspector responded with a catalog of descriptions of videos. Trimble e-mailed the undercover Inspector stating that he wanted to purchase a specific video that appeared in the catalog, which contained a minor female and a minor male engaged in sexually explicit conduct. A few days later, the undercover Inspector received money sent by Trimble, along with Trimble’s mailing address.

On April 7, 2004, following the delivery to Trimble’s residence of the videotape that Trimble had ordered, Postal Inspectors and ICE agents searched his residence and discovered the package containing the videotape. Trimble admitted that he possessed additional child pornography on his computers. He also stated that he had accessed several news groups catering to individuals interested in child pornography.

United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein praised the investigative work performed by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Mr. Rosenstein also thanked Assistant U.S. Attorney Tonya Kelly Kowitz, who prosecuted the case.
