RUSSELLVILLE MAN SENTENCED FOR
POSSESSING STOLEN FIREARMS
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Beth Phillips, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that a Russellville, Mo., man was sentenced in federal court today for possessing stolen firearms.
Dale Scott Olten, Jr., 21, of Russellville, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Nanette K. Laughrey this morning to three years and six months in federal prison without parole.
On Jan. 4, 2010, Olten pleaded guilty to possessing five semi-automatic pistols that had been stolen.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jim Lynn. It was investigated by the sheriff’s departments in Cole County, Moniteau County, Callaway County and Miller County, the Missouri Department of Probation and Parole and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
