SEVEN SEDALIA RESIDENTS INDICTED FOR CONSPIRACY

TO POSSESS METH INGREDIENT

            JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Beth Phillips, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced today that seven Sedalia, Mo., residents have been indicted by a federal grand jury for their roles in a conspiracy to possess pseudoephedrine, which was used to manufacture methamphetamine.

            William Gene Salmons, Jr., 42, Roger Wayne Lindsey, 46, Holly Nicole Fisher, 22, Jonathan David Buri, 25, Carla Jane Limback, 42, Sharon Marie Crain, 44, and Jessica Kay Salmons, 21, were charged in a 59-count indictment returned under seal by a federal grand jury in Jefferson City, Mo., on April 15, 2010. That indictment was unsealed and made public today upon the arrests and initial court appearances of Fisher, Limback, Crain and Jessica Salmons.

            The federal indictment alleges that, from January 2008 to May 12, 2008, each of the defendants participated in a conspiracy in Pettis, Boone, Johnson and Cooper counties to possess pseudoephedrine, knowing that it would be used to manufacture methamphetamine.

            In addition to the conspiracy, the indictment charges each of the defendants with multiple counts of possessing pseudoephedrine, knowing that it would be used to manufacture methamphetamine. Fisher is charged with 16 counts. William Salmons is charged with 14 counts. Crain is charged with eight counts. Buri is charged with seven counts. Jessica Salmons is charged with five counts. Limback is charged with five counts. Lindsey is charged with three counts.

            Phillips cautioned that the charges contained in this indictment are simply accusations, and not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting the charges must be presented to a federal trial jury, whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.

            This case is being prosecuted by Supervisory Assistant U.S. Attorney Lawrence E. Miller. It was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Pettis County, Mo., Sheriff’s Department, the Morgan County, Mo., Sheriff’s Department, the Benton County, Mo., Sheriff’s Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Mid-Mo Drug Task Force.
