April 11, 2007 - United States Attorney Patrick L. Meehan and Philadelphia District Attorney Lynne Abraham today announced the filing of a three-count indictment* charging JOBBIE CRITTENDON, a/k/a “Jobbie Jones,” with possession with intent to distribute cocaine base (“crack”), possession of a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a), (b)(1)(B) and 18 U.S.C. § § 924(c), 922(g)(1) and 924(e). The indictment alleges that on April 20, 2006, Crittendon possessed 127 packets contained a total of 11.83 grams of crack cocaine, and a Taurus International semiautomatic handgun, Model PT145, .45 auto caliber, serial number NWC45104, loaded with 8 live rounds.

This indictment is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, an initiative by the United States Attorney’s Office, all District Attorney’s Offices in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Philadelphia Police Department and other law enforcement agencies, to identify and prosecute firearms offenders in federal court, where the defendants are likely to receive a substantial sentence upon conviction. Defendant CRITTENDON faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, with a mandatory minimum of no less than 20 years imprisonment, a mandatory minimum of 8 years supervised release up to lifetime supervised release, a $4,500,000 fine and a $300 special assessment.
